Dominating the Conca d'Arsiero, and therefore guarding the possible outlet towards the Vicentine lowland, in the proximity of the house dwellings of Ratti, the homonymous fort is found.
Built on the valley, on the orographic right hand side of the Astico torrent, at an altitude of about 350 m, fort Ratti had the scope, together with the overhanging fort of Punta Corbin, located on the western border of the Asiago highland, of controlling the movements coming in from the upper Val d'Astico.
Built between 1906 - 1908, it has some clear conceptual designing differences that distinguish it from the other Italian fortifications subsequently made.
