The war in the mountains was a mammoth logistic work: getting supplies to the men in combat with all that served for survival and for the battle proved to be a colossal undertaking, which was aided on Grappa by the presence of numerous roads and mule tracks.
The advantageous road conditions were integrated with numerous cableways that allowed supplies from the plains to be transported almost to the peak of the massif.
A section of the motor mechanism of a cable way can be seen on the southern edge of Boccaor, which remained in use many years after the end of the conflict, first transporting recovered metal materials and in later years wood and silvopastoral materials to the valley.
